Digital Pathology Applications and Workflow Specialist (m/f/d) EMEA

The Digital Pathology Applications and Workflow Specialist (m/f/d) provides applications workflow support for customers planning to implement digital pathology in their lab. This role supports the Digital Pathology Team to drive the sales of digital pathology solutions to hospitals, reference labs, clinical research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and diagnostic labs within their assigned region/territory.
This role may be based in a variety of locations in the EMEA region.
Responsibilities
- Assist the sales team in building and expanding Evident’s Digital Pathology customer base by providing applications and workflow support during the sales process to advance opportunities and achieve sales targets.
- Work with the Digital Pathology Team and Regional Sales Teams to guide customers through their buying journey, including Digital Pathology Business Development and Sales Specialists, Regional Sales Managers, Territory Managers, and Distribution Partners.
- Support the development and execution of strategic sales plans to grow the company’s market share in digital pathology within the region/territory.
- Efficiently plan and manage demo resources to maximize success and optimize efficiency.
- Gain agreement and path forward on solving customer needs and clearly articulate the value of digital pathology and Evident’s solution.
- Perform customer workflow evaluations and create plans to help customers achieve their digital pathology goals.
- Clearly communicate complex and technical product information, as well as technical IT and networking information, to a variety of customer stakeholders.
- Serve as the technical expert for digital pathology hardware and software product lines.
- Maintain current knowledge of competition and market through study of competitive marketing information, competitive literature, and field surveillance of competition.
- Provide technical input to support the tender team in completing client IT security documents, RFPs, and managing timely tender responses.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales opportunities in the SFDC system associated with relevant opportunities.
- Consult with and help customers with the implementation of reporting needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or similar) or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a clinical healthcare environment, preferably in digital pathology, medical devices, healthcare IT software, or life sciences.
- Deep technical or applications knowledge of the digital pathology either from direct scanner sales or from the wider pathology lab workflow.
- Process improvement and management skills, excellent communication and influencing skills, ability to work in a team, negotiation, contracting, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferences would be given to candidates with a background in
- histology workflow
- AI decision support for digital pathology
- experience in sales / application support of medical devices or other IVD regulated products.
- Expected travel >60%.
