Senior Inside Sales Specialist (m/f/d) - DACH

The Senior Inside Sales Specialist (m/f/d) will be responsible for the end-to-end sales of microscopes for Life Sciences applications. This includes managing the entire sales cycle for assigned customer segments, supporting field sales with transactional sales, and driving growth through cross-selling, upselling, and new account acquisition. The role will also involve the sale of technical service products to the existing installed base.
To execute the role successfully, the Senior Inside Sales Specialist will need to develop both in-depth knowledge of Evident products, applications, and industry segments, as well as soft skills in sales processes to be executed in a partly office-based environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the sales process from initial approach to order completion, including product presentations, virtual demos, technical support, quoting, and closing deals.
- Expand the existing customer portfolio through cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Identify and engage potential customers by exploring new market niches and applications, and developing proper acquisition questionnaires.
- Drive sales of technical service products for the existing installed base of microscopy and industrial devices.
- Support inbound lead qualification and manage the sales funnel in cooperation with the marketing team.
- Collaborate with marketing to plan and execute sales campaigns targeting specific customer segments. Develop proper outbound activities in cooperation with sales management and Marcom.
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines and activity logs in the CRM system, ensuring alignment with KPIs and sales quotas.
- Qualify leads and assess customer potential to ensure proper segment allocation. Assist in the development of lead qualification methods.
- Develop and assist training programs specific to non-F2F customer engagement processes. Participate in product and application training to deepen technical expertise and develop soft sales skills.
- Track and report on sales activity, forecasting, and progress towards sales targets.
- Foster knowledge building in the inside sales organization by being a role model for new campaigns and promotions. Participate in classroom and e-learning training sessions on products and applications to gain deep technical knowledge on microscopy products as well as additional soft skills for sales and commercial processes.
Requirements:
- Successfully completed vocational training or a university degree.
- Proven sales experience, either field or inside sales, with a minimum of 3 years in the industrial or life sciences sales field.
- Previous knowledge of microscopy or imaging devices is a plus.
- Proven track record of successfully pitching to customers for new business and opportunities.
- Experience in lead qualification and management in cooperation with marketing departments.
- Proficient in the use of virtual/digital channels applied to sales & lead management processes and in working with CRM systems.
- Knowledge of sales & marketing strategies.
- Capacity to understand complex technical products in the Life Sciences field and to learn quickly.
- Strong command of German; additional languages are considered a plus.
- Engaging, outgoing personality with a passion for helping customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with all levels of customers.
