Director (f/m/d) Life Sciences Direct Sales EMEA

Evident Europe, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, employs approximately 770 people in 16 countries. The product portfolio includes a wide range of microscope systems used in clinical diagnostics, medical and basic research, as well as in various industrial areas. In addition, Evident offers videoscopes, products for non-destructive testing techniques and for X-ray fluorescence analysis.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team across EMEA.
- Define annual sales plans for regions, teams, and territory managers.
- Coach and co-travel with sales managers and specialists.
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement local business strategies for sustainable growth.
- Align and execute annual marketing and sales plans.
Sales and Market Development
- Manage the sales pipeline and drive regional growth.
- Identify market opportunities and develop strategies for market penetration and upselling.
- Develop key accounts and coordinate regional promotional activities.
Performance Management
- Monitor and analyze sales team performance.
- Utilize CRM tools for sales process management and deal closure.
Customer Engagement and Support
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Manage customer relationships and coordinate new product introductions.
Strategy Development and Implementation
- Develop and implement strategies within central specifications.
Requirements
- University degree/diploma in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years in field sales, with 5+ years in direct sales team management in scientific capital equipment or healthcare sales.
- Proven track record in team management and sales performance.
- Knowledge of structured sales processes and best practices.
- Experience in a matrix organisation across multiple geographies.
- Preferred: Microscopy knowledge.
- Commercially minded, results-driven, and customer-centric.
- Proactive in enhancing processes and outcomes.
- Motivates and drives teams towards exceptional results.
- Simplifies operations for increased productivity.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to present information clearly and ensure strategy is cascaded through the organisation.
- Collaborative across organisations and departments.
- Fluent in English.
- Regular travel (50%).
